Workout description

Measured sprint intervals. You should be feeling the lactate burn at the end of each sprint interval. Longer recovery period than you might expect.

Select the appropriate gear for a paced spint effort about 10 seconds before the sprint interval is due to start. The target power is set at 150% of FTP. Start at that for the first 30 seconds and then wind-up to "full gas" and hold as much power as you can until the end of the interval. Then back right off to ensure that you are fully recovered for the next sprint interval.
